We have some students working on calibrations at the NBI and they could not understand when calibrating ADC gains that they still saw the gaps in the ADC distributions (because they explicitly use SetUseGap(kTRUE) from the adc gain cal module). I checked the DB. First, the web interface didn't report anything weird, calibration parameters are ok. But if I ran the adc gain cal module on some data and output the gap parameter values on the fly, they are all -1111. I found that really odd but then, I think I understand it : the person (maybe you) who committed the gap stuff for TFW2 used a begin and final run (bratmain CommitStuff -r <run> -f <run>). I thought we agreed not to use this -f option. I can perfectly understand Hiro's point about it (cf. the mail archive) ... because if it turns out that if there is a validity stop to the cool revision you committed, the runs after this validity stop will pick up the older one (which we know is crap, it was all -1111). But that's only my guess about the problem I see. So if you commit stuff, be sure not to specify any final run. If you don't do that, then I am confused about what the problem I saw can be.
