Hello. This is just a warning about openssh 3.9p1 version (as well as some older one, at least version 3.8 ). (NOTE: SL3.0.2 come with 3.6.1p2) If you upgrade openssh to the newer one(because of its security hole), you might the encounter the following symptom with ssh and X. something like.... Xlib: connection to "localhost:11.0" refused by server Xlib: Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key And, the result is that you can not "pop" Xwindow shortly after (~10minutes or so) you login to the remote machine I don't know the reason(Does anyone know?). But, I have a solution. In you ssh_config file, make sure it includes "ForwardX11Trusted yes" option as well as "ForwardX11 yes". I have never seen "ForwardX11Trusted" option, but it fixed my problem. (If you don't have an access to ssh_config file and you encounter this problem, you can use "-Y" option in ssh also.)
