Hello, Just a few comments regarding SL from my brief experience of installing on rplay26. The installation went smooth enough that I could not tell the difference between it and the other machines. In editing, there was one positive difference. The problem I have editing remotely with the xemacs-21.4 appears gone in SL. For those who haven't heard my ranting and raving, it is that when working at TAMU (and at home) that when I do a cut or a copy to the clipboard, there is an 11 second delay when using xemacs-21.4 on RH8 or RH9. This was absent in earlier versions of xemacs (eg 21.1) that was shipped with the RH 7.x I had blamed it on xemacs, but now with SL, the problem appears gone. So it seems something with the OS. So for doing some work from TAMU or my home, I say do the upgrade ASAP. Kris Hironori Ito wrote: > Hello. As you already know that RCF machines will be upgraded within > a month.
