As part of looking into acceptance issues, a new version of brag is hereby released. The main point is that most detector can now be positioned given their global positions assuming the spectrometer angles are set correctly. This is particular usefull to get the 'correct' geometry for a brag run for a given real run. A small application generatebraggeometry was writte that takes as into a runnumber and generates two kumac files that can be executed in a brag session to guarentee the correct geometry. This achieved by reading the the information from the geomDB and converting to proper parameters for brag. One small disclaimer, the tilts in y are NOT delat with properly, while the zx stuff is precisely in agreement with the content in the geometry database. This can possibly be done, but is not a simple effort. The included kumac example shows how this can be utilized in a brag script.. This is braggeoexample.kumac from the brat/applications/misc directory. Enjoy. PS brat is 2.24.3 would have been tagged if not for catelin's cvs.locks . * * Startup brag execute this command * shell generatebraggeometry -r 8953 -m magnet.kumac -g geometry.kumac * * if you do not specify filename the will be * geometry_8953.kumac and magnetfield_8953 * exec geometry * * additional setup commands of own usage * set_tree c1 of geodef;geofin * * execute the setop of magnetic fields * exec magnet * * Read to roll * ---------------------------------------------------------------- Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Brookhaven National Laboratory e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov phone: 631-344-4106 _______________________________________________ Brahms-dev-l mailing list Brahms-dev-l@lists.bnl.gov http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-dev-lReceived on Mon Aug 9 13:58:45 2004
