I was also not convinced that it had to do with the c.s. transformation, 
which is good :)

I also implemented in some program of mine an automatic way to generate
kumacs for brag with the right geometry (or what I think is right)  given
a run number and what the DB spits out for this run, but I had to go
through the guts of brag (how you position the whole shebang and convert
to global). It was a matter of reversing the equations starting from the
clearence, reference distance and a couple of other things since these
parameters are the ones you can set in a kumac...made me sweat a bit :)
