Well the numbers in error, and this is severe are the numbers below 9355, whoever commiteed these better redo this as soon as possible. Clearly this did not come out of standard scripts. If you go to other lower runs you get the low values back. The units in the brat parameters are cm, nsec, GeV,GeV/c so the vdrift is ~0.0016 cm/nsec !! Flemming PS I guess one could add this information in The BrDetectorparamsTPC but I would have thought this kind of important information was know to people doing analysis. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Brookhaven National Laboratory e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov phone: 631-344-4106 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Djamel Ouerdane" <ouerdane@nbi.dk> To: "Brahms Devel List" <brahms-dev-l@lists.bnl.gov> Sent: Tuesday, April 27, 2004 12:31 PM Subject: [Brahms-dev-l] tpc drift velocity > Hi, > > Checking some calibration (using my supercool new tool :), I could see > that the unit in vdrift has changed: > > below run 9355, it says 1.5815 for TPM1, then 0.0016 from run 9355 and up. > > Any good reason for such a change ?? > > Djam > > -- > Djamel Ouerdane ------------------------------------------o > | Niels Bohr Institute | Home: | > | Blegdamsvej 17, DK-2100 Ø | Jagtvej 141 2D, | > | Fax: +45 35 32 50 16 | DK-2200 Copenhagen N | > | Tel: +45 35 32 52 69 | +45 35 86 19 74 | > | http://www.nbi.dk/~ouerdane | > | ouerdane@nbi.dk | > o---------------------------------------------------------o > > _______________________________________________ > Brahms-dev-l mailing list > Brahms-dev-l@lists.bnl.gov > http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-dev-l > _______________________________________________ Brahms-dev-l mailing list Brahms-dev-l@lists.bnl.gov http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-dev-lReceived on Tue Apr 27 13:26:55 2004
