I guess this problem is due to my poor communication skills.
I tried (roughly 1.5 months ago) to use the "official" script but could 
not get it to work.
Therefore, I made my own "test" version, a copy which I changed until 
it worked (nb: work=no crash).
This is the one I used, and Djamel looked at.  I believe that it is now 
OK (gives output, which Djam is checking as I write)
IF this is OK, should I then replace the "official" one with my (now 
tested) version which should be at least moderately closer to what we 
want?
