Dear Zhangbao, Happy new year also to you. On the trigger let me just repeat what is in http://www.sdcc.bnl.gov/brahms/private/list_hyper/brahms-dev-l/2919.html The trigger is highly effecient, It does not loose track (as long it goes by the slats). It has a fair amount of background - so you cannot blame the result on the trigger. I recall that Claus have similar differences shown at the coll. meeting, unfortunately the pres. are not on our website, so I could not check. Certainly more work has also been done since by Claus. I cannot tell from the higher pt due to the binning if it is also lower in that range - maybe you could bin into say 400 or 500 MeV bins at the higher pt. It should also be recalled that the ref. pp was not a measured spectrum, but evaluated from UA1. regards Flemming ---------------------------------------------------------------- Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Brookhaven National Laboratory e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov phone: 631-344-4106 > Hi. > > Happy new year to you!
