Yin, The angle I gave to people is correct. Either you do not understand it's definition or are using data where the wall is at a different distance from the center of D5. As I have told people, the wall can be located at different distances from the magnet center. The wrong distance would make it appear like a wrong angle. The 1.0346 degrees is the angle between slat ceneters measured from the center oif the radius of curvature of the machined arc. The radius of the arc is approx. 5.1 meters thus 5.1 meter times 1.0346 degrees gives a slat to slat spacing of 9.2 cm. Since they are staggered one would design for twice the slat width mius some overlap. If you use your angle there would be big gaps between the slats. Hope this helps dana _______________________________________________ Brahms-dev-l mailing list Brahms-dev-l@lists.bnl.gov http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-dev-lReceived on Thu Dec 4 13:15:44 2003
