The usual notes taken as meeting went along with only little editting. /fv 9/19/2003 HPSS positioning errors; happens particular to certain (sets) of tapes. Can be read on some drives but not all. Little traffic so not so much problem at this point. DISK Ok on RCF size; Not too much load. Maurice will go through system etc . I.e. the resetting server or rather a un-share/share will change load and restore connections. Make scripts; monitor loads (particular STAR is subject to this problem). RCF web-server will be split from ganglia server. RCF is trying to get this to work. May see hole is plots. LINUX Phenix status in regard to upgrade. Has code from objectivity that works with RH8. Will certify code. Xemacs will be replaced with newer version as default in /usr/bin . LSF Only outstanding load problem (Phobos). Upgrade Windows side Kerebos seems fine. Setting up keytab, files - rebuild for being able to get afs tokens. The kerebos issue where one looses ticket when one of multiple processes logout is still present. AFS the master international cell-db is not yet updated e.g. cern will not update until this is done. RCF will investigate, and follow-up. (note added: according to Tom T. the word is that the master celldb HAS been updated now) STORM update If there is a power failure, the farm will shutdown. The predicted high winds will be around midnight. In that case the system will probably not come back up until the day. ITD highest priority is keep network up. .dot files; We should give RCF a standard template. (ie .cshrc .profile etc; shouwld work for linux(rcas) + solaris(rcf2,rmine...)
