Mistc updates to RH8 You should all expect various degrees of problems when the RCF clusters have been updated to RH8 Hiro an I have tested basic parts (root, brat,) in /opt/brahms/pro|new and found numerous minor code changes necessary. This is though not all. Today I compiled my private version of crash, bdst and bjoern recent checking of flap. This implied several changes that has been committed to CVS. It is not out of the woos though. The autotools setup gives some errors , but one can get through. The default version in afs has not been made. It is conceivable that there are still some hidden code/scripts where afs/rhic->afs/rhic.bnl.gov has to be changed. The first attempt to run the crs cluster from crsrsuser2 resulted in apparently infinite loop of bratmain for a program that had run under RH8 as interactive job- but some env variables were not correct. I have learned this is not the case – it dies in reading C calibrations. It will probably by Friday before I get around to this. Be also aware the rcas005 as an alias for brahms-db0 will finally go away. Please help out in resolving issues, I am sure there are several more around. -- Flemming Videbaek Brookhaven National Laboratory Physics Department tlf 631-344-4106 fax 631-344-1334 e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov
