Next week, we will continue the OS upgrade
of the Linux Farm to RH 8.0. The upgrade
schedule is as follows:

Mon. -> rcas0001-0004, 0006-0010, 0015 (BRAHMS)
        rcrs0001-0007                  (BRAHMS)
        rcas4001-4008                  (PHOBOS)

Tue. -> rcrs4001-4165                  (PHOBOS)

Wed. -> rcas0011-0014, 0016-0033       (BRAHMS)
        rcrs0008-0010, 0013-0041       (BRAHMS)

Each day, we plan to start around 9 am EDT.
Users are reminded that they must move any
important data from the local disks on these
nodes to another location. The OS upgrade 
will wipe out the contents of the local 
disks (the /home area). Note that areas such
as /direct/brahms+dataXX (/brahms/dataXX) and
/direct/phobos+dataYY (/phobos/dataYY) won't
be affected since they are NFS-mounted disks.

The proposed schedule above is subject to 
change, and announcements will be made when
appropriate.
