You do know about the `ChangeLog' feature in Emacs VC, right?  It's on
`C-x v a'.  Or you can use the program `rcs2log > ChangeLog' to get a
change log file.  Then you can cut'n'paste your log messages directly
into the mail ... after all, the log messages are supposed to be
meaningful and explanatory :-)
