8/28/03 HPSS Down/up grade of firm ware went ok. Some disk problems (raid) reduced performance. Disk storage Lost 2 disks overall. NFS problem during load. (Star) required reset of nfsd. Not a large number of connections. RCF will continue to monitor the problem. Linux OS Upgrade. Phobos will be done this week. Recall that the brahms machines are updated all the /home Local directories will be erased, so if you have anything to keep. Phenix does not want next week - (waiting for objectivity upgrade). Due to the NBI working party I declined to have the upgrade done next week. Condor- there may be a way to setup queues in newer version. Several development that points to this as a long term replacement for lsf. Insure++ license has been renewed. LSF No problems in RH8- has been tested limited by Phobos Kereborize afs + cell name change On Sept 8 afs will go down (8-13) cell name will change - and will be brought up Everybody will need a new cellservedb. (Get from Transarc). Message should be completed and send out today. Will get rid of the afs passwords. CTS is not yet upgraded to K5. RCF2 will be upgraded to K5 (today). ACL on HPSS. Right now doing via a specialized account.
