Hello, This is to announce that I have made a first attempt at fitting global tracks in the forward spectrometer. The module is BrFsGlobalTrackFitModule and it is located in brat/modules/track/combine. I will try to make a writeup next week of what I did, but if I accomplished nothing else, I find in each event a single momentum which minimizes the differences of the "global" track projected into the different detectors from the origins of the local tracks in the respective detector. This has the advantage of making it so that if you have a track which is "treated" by this module, you will be able to fire it from the vertex using projections and magnet swim methods and have it go through the entire spectrometer. The module is simple and small minded. I can imagine, and also in a short conversation with Flemming, that this can be made as complicated as desired. I do not have anything quantative on performance and how things improve with its usage, but I put it into the repository so that interested parties can look at it and comment and have it serve as a starting point for discussion. Enjoy Kris
