Hi Steve and Brett. I just met the same problem. I believe the reason is that the DNS entries for 130.199.6.80 at BNL have not been updated properly. Our BrahmsMain database contains the IP address for the host of the calibration and geometry databases, which from within BNL (as far Hiro and I can figure out) still points to rcas0005. The remedy is to put both rcas0005 and brahms-db0 lines into your .bratdb file. I.e. for the same DB have one line with rcas0005 as host and another one with brahms-db0 as host.
