Hi The name of the db server has been changed to brahms-db0... Even though rcas0005 is still known it seems our access i.e. what the machine and mysql thinks is still the new-name. It seems at this point you MUST change your .bratdbrc files ie. rcas0005.rcf.bnl.gov BrahmsMain query xxxxx -> to brahms-db0.rcf.bnl.gov BrahmsMain query xxxxx and so on. Please also revise your files ; you probably got ours from someone else the normal usage should only have - passwords omitted.. pii3 RUNDB brahms-db0 .. BrahmsMain query .. brahms-db0 .. BrahmsCalib query .. brahms-db0 .. BrahmsGeom query ... brahms-db0 .. BrahmsCalib insert ;; If you are making calibrations. Usually there should not be inserts for BrahmsGeom, and there is definite no need to have brahmlib as an access account. BRAHMS users should not have | noticed any disruption in their access to rcas0005. | Can you pass this information to BRAHMS users, and | have them change rcas0005 to brahms-db0 wherever | they have it in their code? | | We'll leave rcas0005 as an alias for brahms-db0 for | 1-2 months so people have the chance to migrate to | the new name. | | In 5-6 weeks, I will send a reminder regarding | migration to brahms-db0. Thanks. | | Cheers, | | Tony | |
