    Hello, fellow BRAHMSers.

Have you ever been in the situation where you have a long list of numbers,
say in an ascii file, that you want to quickly plot in ROOT? Maybe to do a
fit, or to compare with your own results? I have on a number of occasions,
and to help me I've written a small python script that does just this.
It's called 'rootplot', and takes an ascii file as input and produces a *
root macro that plots the points in the input file * root file with the
    resulting TGraphs or TGraphErrors.

Probably this will not be useful to anyone but me, but in case you should
want to have a look at it the program (and brief instructons for use) can
    be found here:
    http://www.fys.uio.no/~bjornhs/rootplot/
It requires python2.1 or later (installed under /usr/bin/python2.1 on the
rcas'es, at least...), and of course ROOT.

Check it out if you want, modify at your leisure :-)
