As far as I remember (I have to remember as far as 2 years ago), it's a
program linked with breg (formerly eg) that produces histograms in the
old-day style (paw stuff, hbook etc :)

I guess it was used when you produced some simulated data with an event 
generator stored in the zebra format. You could have a paw file with dndy 
of particles, etc. It was a typical example of how to write a user program 
linked to eg and eglib.
