Dear Collaborators, I am sending this to the group I suspect is doing most (if not all) of the analysis, some of you may get this twice, but that is better than not at all. If you know of someone who is not on the dev list, but has something, please forward this message, and let me know. By the time most of your read this, it will be 1. July, and QM will start in just 17 (rather short!) days. I am putting together a plenary talk, to be given on behalf of the collaboration, but I do not have a very good picture of what results we already have, and what we expect to have in the next week or so. I think that I have a pretty good idea of what we have at NBI: 1. MRS spectra, yields. 2. MRS h++h- up to high pt 3. Particle ratios over y, from y=0 to 3. 4. Spectra and yields (almost!) at selected settings in FS. 5. Coalescence parameter at y=0 for d and dbar. We have sizeable yields of both in MRS, and do not suffer the same problems with our d as STAR, so we should be able to get B2(d). Whether or not I can do this next week, I don't yet know. For QM, Claus Ekman is preparing a talk on high pt. It would be magnificent if there were some p+p data to compare to from the FS (even if they aren't final!). Djamel is preparing a talk on yields and spectra. Peter and David have a poster on ratios. Again, an p+p ratios would be fantastic (also for the plenary talk, by the way). >From BNL: JH Lee is giving a talk on net baryon ratios. The results are presumably ready for MRS, and I suppose he is waiting on us to provide the FS results. I'd like a bit of an update, and I'd like to see the talk (so I can steal some of it for the plenary talk!). Will there be a p+p poster also? I recall a rumor of such a poster, but perhaps my memory has failed me again. I should also note that EunJoo has done a massive amount of nice work on the corrections to the spectra for the MRS, and is working on the FS now. >From the abstracts that were circulated, it seems that quite some work is going into what we expect from d+A, is this ready (or appropriate) to mention in the plenary talk? >From Kansas: We have a beautiful multiplicity story, which has been published. I think Steve has begun to look at reaction plane, and flow. Is there anything ready enough to show the world? >From Norway: Bergen: Jen Ivar is preparing a poster on K/pi vs. rapidity. I suppose this is also waiting on the FS results. Preliminary K/pi at y~3.2 is 0.15 for K-/pi-. This is actually ultra preliminary, so forget that I mentioned it. I'd like to see the poster ASAP, since I'll steal some of it for the plenary talk. Is there anything else, Dieter, or are you saving it all for your talk? Oslo: Posters on lambda production, TPC efficiency, and future lamda measurements using SDD. I am very interested in have at least limits on lambdas at 90 and 40 ( I think these are the settings that have been looked at most). >From Texas A&M: Kris is looking at p+p data in the FS...any results (even preliminary? very-ultra-preliminary?). Is there anything exciting from the ZDC that should be shown in the BRAHMS talk? Bucharest: It seems that there is a lot going on. I'd like to see some plots and more details of all the results outlined in the last activity report. Strasbourg: Too depressed by Les Bleus (or is that Les Blahs?). Krakow: What is new and exciting?
