    Some good news. 
    
    I have now a scripts that can convert an existing Calib to the 'new' format and it works on the 'copy'
    of the BrahmsCalib database.
    - what has to be done now is to finalize the changes in brat (for all datatype) check it out on linux+solaris.
    The schedule for doing this may be pushed a little since we want to finish the Mult analysis for the paper
    - but with the script in hand - this can be done automaticaly-
    
    During the processing I see that the 'new tables' crated by the tpc calibration are quite large while the content is minimal.
    Why are we using an Int_t (8 bytes in the ascii rep) to describe data that seems to have values 1,2 or 3.Is it not better to just 
    use short.  i.e. Padstatus.
    Peter, could you take a good look at this - please.
    It is not too late to change.
