    How about reading old gbrahms generated files?  As far as I can tell,
    this will require that we regenerate what ever GBRAHMS generated files
    we may have lying around, since the format will change.  Perhaps
    there's some file format version information in the the cdat files you
    can use, but I don't know.  If there isn't such a field in the files,
    could you please add it?  Preferably it should be three integers
    <major>, <minor>, <revision> number of the GBRAHMS generating the
    file. 
    
    If you have the code ready (including the file version thing) before
    monday next week, I think you should go ahead and commit it.  
    
    If not.  Then please wait until the week after next.  You see, I'm
    about to announce a rewamp of GBRAHMs and the EG stuff.
