We discussed this issue, of simulation calibrations, some time ago I believe. The result, as I remember it, was that we have in fact a facility for that in the calibration database, that is the Revision Type table. The idea is, that you for a time period (or validity period) may define a calibration that is specific to simulations by letting that calibration (Revision in the BrDb lingo) have a special Revision Type. I'm not quite sure how this is propegated to/from the BrParameterElementManager, but it should be possible.
