Problem Compiling GBRAHMS on Solaris (SPARC)

    Hi all, 

I seem to have some trouble compiling GBRAHMS on Solaris (SPARC), in
particular rmine001. 

If I use 'cc' as the C compiler, then it complains about missing
language feature.  Substituting 'cc' with 'gcc' helps. 

However, then 'f90' fails when compiling src/mids/ebm0.F, saying 

       m0field % fldmap   = fmap
                 ^               
 cf90-213 f90comp: ERROR EB_SET_M0_MAP, File = ebm0.f, Line = 262, Column = 18 
   "FLDMAP" is not a component of derived type "FIELD_DESCRIPTOR".

Substittuting 'f90' with 'g77' pops up  another problem, that some
macros (RECELEM) expands some lines beyond the 75 column limit, and so
it fails. 

So my question is: Has anyone succcessfully compiled GBRAHMS on
Solaris recently? And if so, what's the trick?
