Hello, I think the answer to this is that the detector people concerned (ie ZDC and BB) should generate a BrVertex which regardless of how they do their work internally will give an \"accurate\" value of Z. The actual details should be hidden and someone who is not a ZDC\'er or a BB\'er should not have to know that except for his cultural enrichment. The important point is the position of the vertex.
