Hi folks, A new directory "pid" has been added to the brat repository. It has the standard architecture (inc/ src/) all makefiles and config files has been adapted in consequence. A shared library libBrat_Pid.xx (so or whatever) is created. Content: -- BrGeneratePid class (a complete revision, not to say a new class) -- BrParticle class (not exhaustive) -- BrHelix class (should be in the track or geometry directory but let's discuss that later on) the pid has been optimized for the track-tof procedure. Right now, it works well for the midrapidity arm. I'm working on the forward arm but things are more complicated since BrFSTrack is not as easy to manipulate as BrMRSTRack. You can find a test program in the test/ directory. You need a root file containing reconstructed objects (global tracks, calibrated tof). some problems occured while implementing this class like the vertex position (which is supposed to be (0,0,0), the track length of course and technical aspects relatedtive to brat objects, i shall discuss all that during future meetings). other updates: DetectorParameters.txt now contains all TOFW panels BrDetectorParamsTof has a new data memeber fPanel (to identify which panel you are dealing with) and the associated method GetPanel(). fPanel is now a parameter in DetectorParameters.txt for your input file (reco objects), you need the latest versions of the tof library (BrDigitizeTof can now digitize all TOFW panels properly) but also gbrahms to get the good geometry for these panels. all the work I did for that is a bit complicated to describe so if you face some problems relative to some stuff I haven't described, tell me and I'll tell you how to fix it.
