No response to hanging up since I don't know any more than I knew last night. Plotting/fitting. You should be able to do this while it is still counting. I will test to make sure, but that was certainly the intention. gSystem->ProcessEvents() gets called after every event. So all root events should be processed. In addition, that should give one control of the command line. I do however remember some inconsistencies somewhere, so I will check that out.
