Subject: Fw: Mini Moch Data Challenge Plan and Goal
Bruce send this out Saturday afternoon- It is kind of late. I had a talk with Tom Throwe on
Friday to have some setup plan and meeting Monday. It may be too much to ask.
Our reconstruction part is certainly not ready. Progress since Friday.
- Created scripts to generated digitized data from Alvs work BraGD.
- creates job scripts to take data from data01-crs-data01. This should be our input
for the reconstruction.
- The scripts were checked - and the complete set of digitaztions from run 451-511 is submitted. It is not a lenghtly process the order of 10 minutes of cpu per file (5,000) central event.
Work to be done before we are in business
-- scripts for reco job (I will look at this, and checkout with data01-crs-data01
-- sinking of digitized data sometime tomorrow/Monday morning so the becomes available to
crs job. (I mhave put a few (3) files into HPSS - right class of service ? probably done as bramsink.
-- execution of these jobs starting during Monday-Tuesday
-- DAQ raw data to HPSS (KO).

Subject: Mini Moch Data Challenge Plan and Goal
For the mini-Mock Data Challenge on Monday and Tuesday the plan is to
have the experiments transfer data as continuously as they can at the
rates expect for this year's physics run starting Monday morning and
continuing to Wedn morning. At the same time they should submit jobs on
the reconstruction farm's which draw data out of HPSS and return results
to HPSS at approximately the rates expected during this year's actual
running. Data mining or analysis activities can also be tried at the
discretion of the experiments. RCF facilities are currently configured
as they are planned to be for the beginning of the first run a couple of
months from now. The idea is to give the RCF configuration an
appropriate early stress test while there is still time to engage in
additional tuning and/or modest scale reconfigurations if they appears
to be necessary.
