Broad RAnge Hadron Magnetic
Spectrometers Experiment at RHIC
The
BRAHMS experiment was
designed to measure charged hadrons over a wide range of rapidity
and transverse momentum to study the reaction mechanisms of the
relativistic heavy ion reactions at
RHIC (Relativistic Heavy
Ion Collider at
Brookhaven National
Laboratory) and the properities of the highly excited
nuclear matter formed in these reaction. The experimet took its
first data during the RHIC 2000 year run and completed datataking in June 2006.
Results in form of publications, public presentatitons can be found
under the public results.
