and from the city center. A taxi from the airport to the city center will cost you about 50 PLN (Polish Zloty). Public transportation (bus number 192, 208 fro the airport) is also available. Ticket (3.50 PLN) may be purchase from the bus driver.

You can also fly to Warsaw or
Katowice. From Warsaw's main railway station you can take an InterCity or an
Express train; the trip takes about 2,5 hours. To request a taxi from the
airport to the railway station, go to one of the approved taxi company desks in
the airport arrivals hall or take bus number 175. A train ticket will cost
about 100 PLN for the first class and may be purchased at the Orbis office at
the airport or at the train station itself. From Katowice airport you can take the yellow Lufthansa minivan to Krakow
(30PLN). Please, book the minivan together with your ticket.

There are direct international railway connections to Krakow from Austria (Vienna), the Czech Republic (Prague), Germany (Berlin, Dresden, Frankfurt/M, Frankfurt/O, Leipzig), Hungary (Budapest), Rumania (Bucharest), Slovak (Bratislava, Kosice), and Ukraine (Kiev, Lvov, Odessa). Krakow is also linked with all other main towns and cities Poland. The railway station is located in the center of the town, close to the area in witch most of the hotels and the Institute of Physics are situated.
Many travel agencies offer regular coach connections between Krakow and numerous cities in Europe. Traveling coach, one may arrive from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Holland, Ital, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Currency
Participants from most European and North America do not require a visa to Poland. Participants from other. countries should inquire at the closest Polish consulate or at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
