During the first weeks of the RHIC 2000 run we setup a cosmic ray trigger that required at least two tiles with signal above threshold. There were 40 tiles and two Si boxes. The data was collected in run 1869 in sequences 3 to 7.
The offline analysis of these data is done from a root file produced with sequences 3 to 7. This file can be found in:
/pii7/disk1/data/tile_cosmic/run001869.root
The histogram shown above shows the ADC distribution for tile 12 with no conditions on other tiles.
The histogram shown above shows tha ADC distribution of tile 12 for events that have signal in its directly opposing tile (36).
The figure shown above has the ADC distribution for tile 6 whenever its opposing tile (30) has signal above pedestal, as well as a fit to a Landau distribution.
The results of all fits will be kept in the database. The following table contains the results of the fits to a Landau distribution as well as the pedestal values. The mean value listed in this table is read directly from the data distribution. This mean is calculated within the same range for all tiles: the lower limit is below the peak and the upper limit is always channel 700.
